Phoutthasone Phimmakaisone joined Swisscontact in January 2021 as a Monitoring and Result Measurement (MRM) Officer and Virtual Collaboration Campion under the W2V project in Vientiane, Lao PDR. His primary tasks are to support the setup and maintenance of the overall MRM system of the W2V project, build an evidence-based adaptive management and support the country office team members with the usage of virtual collaboration applications.
Before joining Swisscontact, he worked as a volunteer, being elected as a deputy secretary to the Lao Youth Union Executive Committee under the supervision of the Embassy of the Lao PDR to Austria. His roles were to assist and monitor the students’ activities, actively in Hungary. Out of his full-time job, he is also a freelance English teacher, translator, and interpreter, specialized mainly in education field. Regarding his educational background, he has graduated with Master of Science (MSc) in Public Policy and Management from Corvinus University of Budapest, Hungary in 2020. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in English Philology from Vistula University in Warsaw, Poland with the award of distinction in the year of 2018.
