The pre-training orientation workshops play a vital role in selecting suitable participants for the training programme. After initiating its new selection process, the Uttoron project experienced close to “zero” drop-out rate and a high attendance rate among the trainees.
A total of 376 applicants took part in these programmes and out of those 281 applicants were finally selected for the Uttoron training. In the day-long event - the participants are informed about the project and its various training component thoroughly. The participants are also engaged in creative team building activities that test their overall creativity, interests, and teamwork capability. At the end of the group and individual activities, a one-on-one interview session was held with applicants to assess their career preferences, trade preferences, and overall career aspirations in order to make the selection process more robust.
