Kanha Bouasavahn graduated with two degrees from India: Master of Arts in Development Studies from the University of Mysore at Karnataka State, India in 2013; and Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Jamia Millia Islamia University at New Delhi in 2009. Previous to this, she acquired a Higher Diploma in Road, Bridge and Transportation from Faculty of Engineering and Architect in 2003 and various other degrees and short courses.

Kanha has over 6 years of experience on project management, implementation, and facilitating in development sector. Prior to working in Swisscontact, Kanha worked with RLED-EWEC Project, Mekong Institute as Field Coordinator in the Laos Project Office located at Khammouane province, specializing on agro-business and the Rice Value Chain (RVC) including GAP and GMP Standards for food safety. In addition to these, she facilitated and led over 100 activities at regional, provincial and farmer groups/village levels; deliver supervision to over 40 farmer groups and entrepreneurs in Khammouane and Savannakhet provinces; closely worked with government agencies to promote rice value chain; and enabling the environment of Cross Border Trade Facilitation (CBTF) along East West Economic Corridor (EWEC) Quang Tri province Vietnam-Savannakhet province Lao PDR – Mukdahan province Thailand; Khammouane province Lao PDR-Nakhon Phanom province Thailand, and Vietnam in 2019.
